That's one of my pet peeves too. Spoiling ends up disabling the child from being able to make responsible decisions and learning that there are consequences to their behavior.
I think it's adorable! I love your style of illustration. Also, I couldn't agree with you more! Personally, I like to give children art supplies and then show them how much fun digital art can be, too!
